Missing woman's vehicle located
A vehicle belonging to a missing Waihi Beach woman has been located down a bank at Whakamarama on SH2 as the result of an apparent road crash.
25-year-old Kelly Sinclair was reported missing yesterday (Tuesday, 8 April) having left home on Sunday to go to Mount Maunganui. She was last seen leaving a friend's house in Katikati at approximately 11.20pm on Sunday night.
Police received a report from a member of the public at approximately midday today that a crashed vehicle had been located, and that vehicle has since been confirmed as Kelly Sinclair's Audi.
A person is deceased inside the vehicle but police are not in a position to confirm who is in the vehicle until a formal identification has taken place.
A serious crash investigation is underway and police are keen to hear from anyone who saw the Blue 1997 Audi A3 between late Sunday night and today.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Tauranga Police on 07 577 4300
