Keith Spry Pool Closes 17 April
Keith Spry Pool will close from 9pm, Thursday 17 April as part of a major $6 million redevelopment.
Changes include a new pool for Learn to Swim and other aquatic programmes, a new children’s play pool, new changing rooms, a new roof and maintenance work.
Councillor Paul Eagle, says this is a significant redevelopment of the pool that will benefit our community.
“Continued growth in the northern suburbs has put pressure on community facilities. Keith Spry Pool has been in need of a major upgrade for some time. In particular, changes will improve significantly the Learn to Swim programme and will provide a better pool experience for all users.”
During the closure period, Learn to Swim classes, Aqua Fit classes, Ezy Movers and Shallow Water will move to Tawa Pool. Deep Water classes will be available at Karori Pool. Lane swimming will be available at all other WCC pools. Aqua jogging will be available at Karori Pool, Freyberg Pool and Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre.
