Operation Gridley, the Police investigation into the homicide of 49 year-old Maqbool Hussain in Balmoral last weekend, wants to locate 28 year-old Justin Vance Turner who is currently in breach of bail after having recently been arrested for breaching prison release conditions [see attached pic].
Turner is a transient of no fixed abode but is known to have frequented the Auckland suburb of Balmoral over the past month. He may have changed his appearance by shaving since this recent photograph was taken.
He is Caucasian with noticeably olive skin, short black hair, brown eyes and comparatively bushy eyebrows. He has a prominent nose, stands 176 cms tall, is of medium build and has a neck tattoo of a dog wearing a spike collar.
"Mr Turner is a person of interest to this investigation and we urge anyone who knows where he is to contact Police promptly either by calling 111 or the operation team on 820 5763," says Detective Inspector Chris Cahill.
Information can also go to e-mail christopher.cahill@police.govt.nz or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
