Waikato Police are very concerned for the health and safety of missing man Trevor Smith, who walked away from Waikato Hospital at approximately 5.00pm on the 16th March. Mr Smith was a patient who suffers from mild dimensia and type 2 diabetes. Family members have been searching for him but without success.
Mr Smith is 70 years of age, clean shaven with a number 1 haircut and is of average to solid build. He was wearing a lime green Vodafone shirt, dark blue trackpants, plain white sandshoes and a grey cap.
"Everyone is worried that Mr Smith will be suffering adversely from a lack of insulin which he must receive daily. By now he maybe quite disorientated. At this stage we have no idea where he might be so are appealing for the public to look out for him and notify Hamilton Poilice immediately if he is, or has been seen. People can call 07 8586200 or 111 if it is an emergency. Attached is a photograph of Mr Smith, although the clothing is different to that presently worn by him.
