Robbery - Valley Flyer bus

Hutt Valley Police are investigating the robbery of the driver of a Valley Flyer bus in Upper Hutt on the 14th March
2014.
At about 10.00pm the male offender boarded a Valley Flyer bus at the stop just prior to the Rimutaka Tavern on Fergusson
Drive, Upper Hutt.
The bus was travelling route 110 to Gemstone Drive.
The only other passengers at the time were a male and female who got off the bus shortly after.
A female then boarded the bus just prior to Pokaka street and exited once on Gemstone Drive, Upper Hutt.
As the bus came to the end of it's Route on Gemstone Drive near State Highway 2, the offender has approached the female
driver shoulder charging her before running off with her cash box.
The offender is described as male Maori or Polynesian aged in his mid 20's, approximately 170cms, slim build with short
dark hair. He was wearing a black sweat shirt, black pants and pulled a red bandana up over his face.
The cash box is black metal, 40cms by 20cms with a handle and a piece of tape with the number 44 written on the top.
Police would like to hear from the other passengers who were on this bus, anyone who has seen the described cash box or
who recognises or knows the offenders identity .
