Suspected fraudster arrested

A man suspected of committing offences against tourist accommodation providers in the Taupo area has been arrested.
As a result of publicity, a member of the public spotted someone fitting the description of 44-year-old Tony Ashley Gorrie in Taupo last night.
He was quickly arrested and will appear in court today facing a number of burglary and fraud charges.
Police would like to thank the media and the social media community for their assistance in circulating this appeal.
