Aerial search finds no trace of missing boat
A plane with three search and rescue spotters onboard searched the coastline from Nelson to Westport yesterday afternoon and evening for missing man William Kerry Blair and the launch Erie.
The search found no trace of the boat. One further possible sighting of the boat on Monday has now been reported and Police are examining that information today.
Police are checking marinas and regular broadcasts are continuing to go out to all vessels on the marine radio asking for sighting of the boat.
Police are asking for anyone with information about the movements of the 9 metre Senator aluminium launch, which is white and it has a blue stripe along the side, to come forward.
Anyone with information relevant to this search should call Blenheim Police Ph 03 578 5279.
