Man pulled unconscious from Lake Taupo

Shortly after 2.30 this afternoon a mayday call was made from a boat on Lake Taupo.
A small group of friends were on the boat. At one stage an adult male from the group was pulled from the water unconscious. The boat made it to shore where an overseas tourist administered first aid before the man was taken to Taupo Hospital by ambulance in a serious condition.
No further details about the man will be released at this stage.
Taupo Police are investigating the matter.
