Police seek information following Hamilton ram-raid
Hamilton Police at the scene of an early morning commercial burglary are appealing for people in the area who saw anything suspicious to come forward.
District shift manager, Senior Sergeant Andrew O'Reilly, said officers were called to a women's fashion store at the Victoria St end of London St in the City's CBD about 5am.
"We're currently working to obtain CCTV footage of the area to establish just what has occurred but it appears a vehicle or heavy machinery has been used to smash a large front store window.
"At this stage it appears quantities of women's jeans are among items taken and we would like to speak to anyone who was in the area who saw anything untoward in the area to contact the Hamilton Central Police Station by phoning 07 858 6200."
