Temporary Weekday Closure for White Pine Bush
White Pine Bush Reserve and the carpark on SH2 north of Napier will be closed on weekdays from Monday 3 March until Friday 4 April 2014(inclusive) to ensure public safety during forestry harvest operations.
The Department of Conservation reserve and carpark will still be open at weekends when most people visit this area of native bush, but will be closed from 6.00am - 6.00pm, Monday to Friday during this period.
Pan Pac Forest Products and Hawke’s Bay Regional Council are managing harvest operations in the adjacent pine forest in the Tangoio Soil Conservation Reserve. The decision was made to temporarily close the reserve and carpark for public safety reasons.
Signposts and barriers will be put up at the reserve and carpark during these times to alert people to the closure times.
