Flat Bush Crash Update

At around 4:15am on Monday 24 February Police responded to a crash on Chapel Road in Flat Bush where two cars collided head-on.  A 23 year old man from Shamrock Park was confirmed deceased at the scene, with the driver of the other vehicle fleeing from the scene.
The driver who fled the scene has since been located by Police and he has been accompanied to hospital to assess injuries from the collision.  He will be interviewed by Police and the investigation will determine if charges will be laid.
The Serious Crash Unit is currently investigating the incident and it is not yet known if alcohol or speed is a factor in the crash.
The name of the deceased will not be released until his next of kin have been notified.
