Fatal crash victim named

The man killed in a crash on SH1 in the Kinleith Mill area last night has been identified as 47-year-old Scott Walker
from Hamilton.
Mr Walker was travelling south between Tokoroa and Taupo in a left-hand drive 1969 black Chevrolet Corvette and he
crashed shortly after overtaking a truck at approximately 8.45pm.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing and police want to hear from any witnesses to the crash, or anyone who saw
how the vehicle was being driven prior to the crash.
