One man dead in highway crash
An investigation is underway into the cause of a crash on State Highway 1 last night which has left one man dead.
The crash occurred at approximately 8.45pm in the area of Kinleith Mill. A man in his 40s from Hamilton was driving towards Taupo when it appears he lost control as he overtook a truck. He died at the scene after his vehicle rolled and hit a concrete structure.
No further details about the man will be released until next of kin have been notified.
