The programme that protects and works to restore Rotorua Te Arawa Lakes is offering an iPad Mini for the best photographs of the district's lakes.
Bay of Plenty Regional Council General Manager Natural Resource Operations, Warwick Murray said the "Our Lakes" photo competition would run until the end of March.
"Rotorua is very fortunate to have so many beautiful lakes. We want to showcase all the activities that are enjoyed on and around the lakes.
“No matter whether you fish, ski, swim, picnic or walk around the lakes we want to see photos of how the Rotorua Te Arawa Lakes are enjoyed,” Mr Murray said.
“The Rotorua Te Arawa Lakes Programme is a partnership between Bay of Plenty Regional Council, Rotorua District Council and Te Arawa Lakes Trust. We have many projects in-lake and on land to protect and restore the lakes.
“Having a library of images that highlight how the community uses the lakes provides an important reminder of why we do what we do,” Mr Murray said.
To enter, complete the online entry form and submit your high resolution photo on www.rotorualakes.co.nz by March 31.
