Fatal crash at Karikari Peninsula

Police are seeking occupants of a van who were in the vicinity of a fatal crash on the Karikari Peninsula yesterday.
About 4.30pm a Nissan station wagon and Harley Davidson motorcycle were involved in a head-on collision on Inland Road, Karikari Peninsula.
A 60-year-old woman, who was a pillion passenger on the motorcycle, died at the scene.
Police have named her as Anne Eileen Tomkinson, an English tourist.
The 54-year-old female passenger in the station wagon is in Kaitaia Hospital in a stable condition and the 47-year-old male rider of the motorcycle is in Whangärei Hospital in a stable condition.
Police would like to hear from the occupants of a van that was travelling towards the peninsula and were in the vicinity of the crash and also anyone who witnessed the crash.
