New Festival to Highlight the Very Best of South Auckland
A brand new food and wine festival is set to showcase the best food and wine produce that South Auckland has to offer as it prepares to welcome a large crowd through its gates in March.
Marking the close of the Kiwi summer food and wine festival season across New Zealand, the very first Festival of Food & Wine will be held on 22 March from 10am to 10pm at the picturesque Ti Papa Special Events Centre just 30 minutes south of downtown Auckland.
Run by Phoenix Management, the Festival of Food & Wine will bring together over 80 of the region’s top producers of wine, beer, and food in a charming and unique location.
Along with the opportunity to sample specialities from over 80 exhibitors including Pimms Lounge, Tapas Bar and Oyster Bar, a Wine & Cheese Appreciation Lounge and Culinary Demonstration Marquee at “The Village” are differentiating features of the festival. Demonstrations from some of New Zealand’s most popular chefs, food and wine judges and culinary experts will run in sessions from 10.30am until 6.30pm.
“The Lawn” will host the main stage and a grass area to roll out the picnic blanket for the family, enjoy the outstanding entertainment and soak up the atmosphere while snacking on tasty delights from the festival. Additional tickets are available for purchase to access the R18 VIP bar, which offers a prime view of the main stage, ample seating and luxury facilities.
A stellar music entertainment line-up for the main stage along with a schedule for the sessions in “The Village” will be announced on 20 February.
With early bird general admission tickets on sale at just $32, VIP admission for $75 and kids under 12 entering for free, joining the action at the first Festival of Food & Winepromises to be an affordable and memorable day out.
