Name released in motorcycle fatality
Canterbury, 27 January 2014 - Police have released the name of the man killed in a motorcycling crash on a West Melton farm on Saturday [25 January].
He was Kenneth William Millar, aged 27, of Christchurch.
Police and ambulance services were contacted at around 5.10pm on Saturday.
Enquiries indicate Mr Millar and a friend were riding farm bikes on a farm property on West Coast Road (SH73), when his motorcycle collided at speed with irrigation equipment.
Mr Millar died at the scene.
