A three-month old baby has been flown from Southland Hospital to Starship Hospital in Auckland today after suffering serious injuries following a reported fall at her home.
Emergency services were called to an address in Riverton, Southland, at around 7.25pm last evening (13 January) after reports that a baby girl had suffered serious injuries and was unresponsive.
She was taken to Southland Hospital before being stabilised and transferred to Starship.
Police say their investigation into the incident is at an early stage and it's too soon to provide further details.
The baby's condition remains critical.
