Police and Fire are attending a truck which is on fire on SH27 just south of the Ngatea turn off.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
The truck is not believed to be carrying any dangerous goods.
This stretch of SH27 is now closed and estimated to be so for up to 3 hours.
Diversions are set up at intersection of SH27 and Tahuna Rd to the south and intersection of SH27/SH2 to the north.
Motorists are urged to use alternative routes if possible.
