Global Access Bars Day Celebrated in Kapiti
Kapiti locals joined thousands of people worldwide to celebrate the inaugural Global Access Bars Day on 6 January. Access Bars practitioners from Kapiti and Wellington offered free sessions of this holistic therapy at Z Health Studio in Paraparaumu Beach on Monday night. Organizer, Patina Edwards said the feedback from the public had been very positive and many people who attended had not experienced the bars before.
When Edwards moved to Raumati South two years ago there were no practitioners in the area. She had learned the technique and became a facilitator training others when living in California. Now there are practitioners offer sessions throughout the Wellington region, six other facilitators, and many more people using the technique with family and friends. Like yoga or reiki, Edwards sees that Access Bars will become a sought after practice for wellness and peace of mind. “Access Bars defrags the stressful thoughts and feelings that keep people from sleeping well or being enthusiastic about life. It opens us up to more possibility. Even physical pain can lessen.”
In countries like the US, massage therapists, nurses and others in the wellness industry can earn continuing education credits for taking Access Bars training. Visit www.bars.accessconsciousness.com for more information.
