Search activity will continue this morning for a 19 year old Masterton man who went missing in the Ruamahanga River north of Masterton. He had been swimming in the river with a group of friends and got into difficulty in a deep turbulent pool at about 5pm last night.
Search activity involved the life flight trust helicopter, a jet boat, land SAR search teams, Fire Service, Ambulance, and Police. Family and friends also participated. The search failed to locate the missing man.
Similar resources will be used again in the search this morning. The Police dive squad will also assist.
