Nadia Lim’s Food Philosophy Up For Debate at Dunedin City Library
Dunedin (Monday 4 November 2013) – Nadia Lim, author of Nadia's Kitchen and winner of Masterchef NZ in 2011, is coming
to Dunedin City Library on Monday 18 November to share her passion for ‘real food’ and to talk about her latest book,
Nadia Lim’s Good Food Cookbook.
Nadia has gained a reputation for making healthy food taste amazing, and her ideas for delicious meals that are good
value and easy to prepare are perfect for busy people, and those on a budget – students take note!
Nadia was born in Auckland and lived in Malaysia for seven years with her family. Her mother is a New Zealander and her
father is Malaysian Chinese, cultures which influence her recipes as well as her knowledge of food and flavour.
A graduate of the University of Otago, where she trained as a dietician and nutritionist, Nadia now writes regularly for
Food Magazine and the New Zealand Herald's Bite magazine, as well as running her own company, My Food Bag, a
home-delivery service providing nutritious meals using free-range seasonal ingredients. She is also a great supporter of
various charitable organisations including Diabetes NZ, the Heart Foundation and the Hospice.
At the end of the evening, there will be an opportunity for people to ask questions, have their books signed and to
purchase copies of Nadia’s books.
Audience members are encouraged to book their ticket in advance. For bookings phone 474 3690 or email
library@dcc.govt.nz.
