Homicide arrest
Auckland City Police have arrested a 49 year-old man who will appear in the
Auckland District Court tomorrow charged with the Wednesday night murder of
Steven Harris who died after being fatally attacked in Myer's' Park.
The accused presented himself at Auckland Central Police Station this
afternoon in the company of his lawyer.
The investigating team still has a lot of work to do but is grateful to all
those who have assisted thus far.
The majority of Myer's. Park was reopened to the public earlier today and one
of the three Asian people Police were hoping to speak to has made contact
with investigators and he will be interviewed in the company of an
interpreter tomorrow.
