Police appeal for sightings of Hamilton man
Police are asking the public to help locate missing Hamilton man Frederick "Rick" HAYWARD.
Mr Hayward was last seen leaving his Hamilton home in Thames Street around 5 pm on Monday night (02/09/13) with the intention of travelling to Raglan.
Mr Hayward's car was located on Old Mountain Road, between Raglan and Hamilton yesterday evening (03/09/13).
Senior Constable Bruce BOGUN said "Waikato Land Search and Rescue teams have been searching bush and farm land around the area of Old Mountain Road throughout the night.
Mr Hayward is described as a 67 year old Caucasian male of slim build, approximately 5'9" tall with short white/grey hair.
He was last seen wearing a Brown cotton leather-look jacket, tan pants and a light khaki green cap.
Constable Bogun said "The search effort will be reinforced bu fresh search teams and the Police Eagle helicopter in the morning".
Constable Bogun would ask anyone with any information to contact the Waikato Search and Rescue team at Hamilton Central Police Station, on (07) 858-6200.
