Police release name of deceased baby boy
Police have released the name of the one-year-old Whangärei boy who died in Auckland Starship Hospital on Friday night.
The boy's name is Atreyu Taylor-Matene.
Following Atreyu's death police launched a homicide inquiry and a team of 25 police staff remain focused on establishing what happened to cause the death of Atreyu.
The scene examination at the address of interest in Carlton Crescent, Kamo continues today.
Police also hope to have the interim results of the post mortem today. These results will not be released.
