Mongrels with 90 previous convictions should not be on the street

The Sensible Sentencing Trust is disgusted that what they term as a ‘low-life mongrel’ with 90 previous convictions was
ever released, let alone on home detention and are vowing to hold someone accountable for his release.
Trust Spokesman Garth McVicar said that Home Detention was meant to be for low risk offenders only and the fact that
William Murphy, who committed these home invasions had 90 previous convictions for burglary, violence and sexual crimes
should have ensured he was not a candidate for Home Detention.
“The public, and particularly the elderly deserve much better, I despise the fact that any woman is assaulted, but
elderly people being attacked in the privacy of their own home is the most despicable crime imaginable”.
“It appears that our law makers are not listening to what the public are saying and if it takes sueing the person or
persons responsible then that is precisely what we will do”.

“We want to identify who was responsible for releasing Murphy and make sure they are held accountable for the grief and
