Homicide Investigation In Havelock North

Hawke's Bay Police have commenced a homicide investigation following the
discovery of the body of a 48 female at a residential address in Havelock North at around 10pm on Friday evening, 7 June 2013.
Police are unable to comment on the nature of the injuries to the deceased.
A Havelock North man aged 48 years has been taken into custody and is currently
receiving medical treatment in Hawkes Bay Hospital for injuries. Police will not comment at this time as to the nature or seriousness of those injuries.
Police and ESR scientists will commence a scene examination later today.
Police are continuing to interview family members and other witnesses.
