Emergency services are currently at the scene of a non injury crash involving two trucks on State Highway 4, approximately 500 metres south of Raurimu Township.
The crash occurred at 3.00 am this morning (29/05/2013).
As a result of this collision, both vehicles are locked together side by side and can not be moved clear of the roadway. Hence the road is closed to all traffic.
Heavy recovery equipment is on route to the scene from Taupo and is expected to arrive at the scene around 5.15 am to start clearing the damaged trucks.
Police advise motorist to consult the NZTA web site for all roading updates and closures including when State Highway 4 opens after this crash.
