BACS: Business and Community Shares is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with the Funding Information Service
to deliver accessible
information on a wider platform for community organisations and individuals for funding and other services.
The Funding Information Service (FIS) is a long established national organisation that provides services to a diverse
sector covering groups and organisations involved in sport, recreation, arts, faith, political, environment,
conservation, education, health, employment, social and welfare activities. FIS works with government, local government
and education providers to ensure that those groups, organisations and individuals can easily access information about
the best sources of funding to suit their needs. The three most popular services are FundView for community
organisations seeking funding, BreakOut which helps find scholarships and funds supporting personal and individual
development and, Corporate Citizens which holds information on corporate and business philanthropic and donation
programmes.
BACS is a recently launched hub of corporate social responsibility that provides a platform for businesses, community
organisations and facilitators to share information and news. BACS already has over sixty members and partners that
share resources, skills and wisdom to create engagement partnerships. BACS founder Julie Donvin-Irons said she was “very
pleased to be working more closely with FIS as a quality provider of funding information, by partnering and sharing
resources we are making this sector stronger to obtain the positive results we all want to see in New Zealand.”
