At around 5.20 am this morning participants in the Christchurch Anzac Parade were congregating in Cranmer Square prior to the parade commencing.
One of the participants placed a bag containing several trumpets and the music for the parade on the ground. A cyclist rode past and grabbed the bag then cycled off towards Park Terrace.
Police were dispatched to the area and found the cyclist exiting Hagley Park. A 35 year old Christchurch Man has been arrested for theft.
