Fire investigation will continue tomorrow
The body of a man who died in a house fire in Tokoroa last night has now been removed from the address and a post mortem will be carried out in Auckland tomorrow.
A second man who was taken to Waikato Hospital with serious burns was transferred to Middlemore Hospital today and remains in a critical condition.
A scene examination has been ongoing throughout today and that will continue into tomorrow. Until that examination is complete it is not possible to confirm whether or not the fire is suspicious.
Police expect to be in a position to release the identity of the man who died some time tomorrow.
There will be no further updates tonight.
