One dead and one injured in house fire
One person is dead and a second has been badly injured in a house fire in Tokoroa this evening.
Police were called at approximately 6.40pm to reports of a fire in Dalmeny Street.
One man, age unknown at this stage, has been taken to Waikato Hospital with what are believed to be serious burns. The
body of a second person has been located inside the house. It can't be confirmed at this stage whether the deceased is a
man or a woman.
The scene has been cordoned off and will be secured overnight pending a full scene examination tomorrow by police and
fire investigators.
No further information is expected tonight.
