Rubbish and recycling collections at Easter
Auckland Council is reminding residents to put out their kerbside rubbish, recycling and paper collections one day later than usual during the Easter long weekend.
The public holiday changes are in effect from Good Friday, Friday 29 March, until Monday 8 April, when the normal collection schedule resumes.
This means that collections that normally occur on Fridays will move to Saturdays, Monday collections will happen on Tuesdays, and so on.
Exceptions to this advice are as follows:
Parnell/Newmarket area: There will be no changes to Thursday night rubbish collections (red lidded wheelie bins)
North Shore and Waitakere areas: There will be no changes to evening business kerbside collections (rubbish bag, recycling and paper/cardboard)
Inner CBD: There will be no changes to kerbside collections (rubbish, recycling and paper/cardboard)
Residents using private collection services, including in Rodney district, should contact their suppliers to find out about their service schedules on, and following, the public holiday.
Information about collection services is available on our website. To search go to www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz, search ‘Collection Day’.
