Witheford Reserve bridge closure
Auckland Council has closed a bridge in Witheford Reserve, Glenfield, for safety reasons.
Fencing has been installed around the bridge, and signage is being made to show alternative routes for pedestrians.
The bridge is popular amongst residents and a link from Bayview to local schools, and required repairs will be given a high priority.
Currently, it is unknown how long the bridge will need to be closed for.
Staff are investigating the extent of required repairs along with options to enable re- opening the bridge.
