Elderly woman missing
Police are seeking the assistance of media and the public in the search for a 76 year old woman who is missing in the Hamilton City area.
She wandered from the Beerescourt area of Hamilton and has been missing since 10 am today.
The woman is described as being Maori, about 5ft 3 (157 cms) tall, slim build, short grey hair.
She was last seen wearing a red jersey and black track pants. She may have a black cap and may be wearing glasses.
She frequently walks long distances and likes to pick flowers.
Police Search and rescue teams have been activated at Hamilton in an effort to locate her.
Fears for her safety are growing as night approaches and anyone who has seen this lady is asked to call the Police without delay.
