Work over next few Sundays on SH2 between Te Maunga and Kairua Road
The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists travelling along State Highway 2 (SH2) between Te Maunga and Kairua Road to expect some minor delays over the next few Sundays while cabling for a power substation is being installed in this area.
The work will start this Sunday (3 February) from 3am until 4pm with a temporary speed restriction of 30km/h in place. Between 5.30am and 2.00pm a manual Stop/Go will be used and motorists may experience minor delays during this time.
The work will be completed on the following Sunday 10 February, however if due to unforeseen circumstances the work is delayed it will be carried out on Sunday 17 February.
The NZTA thanks motorists for their patience whilst this work is being undertaken.
