Woman charged in Hutt Valley Police homicide investigation
Just after 6.00pm tonight Hutt Valley Police have charged a 29-year-old woman with the murder of Sean VERMA.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thornton says "As a result of information provided by the public we have been able to charge a 29-year-old woman who was being interviewed by Police with murder.
"The investigation team is continuing to piece the events of last night together and we would urge any witnesses to speak with Police.
"At this stage, we are not seeking anyone else in relation to his death", says Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thornton.
The 29-year-old woman will appear in the Lower Hutt District Court tomorrow.
A scene examination is continuing at the residential East Street address.
Police are appealing for anyone with any information to contact Hutt Valley Police on (04) 560 2600.
Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers by phoning 0800 555 111.
