Police investigating Levin unexplained death
Police are working to establish the circumstances around the unexplained death of a 48 year-old man in Levin on Saturday 27 January.
Detective Senior Sergeant Marc Hercock says: "The man was staying at a Bainesse Road property in Levin and was found dead by the home owner at around 8:30am on Saturday. The home owner then called emergency services."
A scene examination has been completed and Police are in the process of making further lines of inquiry to piece together the man's last movements.
"We hope to have a post-mortem completed by tomorrow evening. At this stage the cause of death remains unexplained," says Detective Senior Sergeant Hercock.
