The NZ International Air Show just got better! On top of all the excitement over the last two days, the NZ International
Air Show is whipping out one last surprise for Auckland Anniversary Weekend.
Organisers of the NZ International Air Show are pleased to announce that they’re gifting the people of Auckland special two-for-one tickets for the last day of what has already been a mind-blowing weekend of sky-high thrills.
The NZ International Air Show team have had this last little surprised tucked up their sleeve for some time, thanks to
the large capacity at the North Shore Airfield where it’s being held. Communications Director Fiona Fenwick says, “It has been such a fantastic event these last two
days that we really wanted to share it with the people of Auckland.”
For tomorrow only, all members of the public are invited to attend the NZ International Air Show with the following

Headlining this unprecedented event is a long list of aviation heavyweights, including the world-renowned Yves “Jetman” Rossy, daredevil duo Rex and Melissa Pemberton, the skydive superstar Squirrel Wingsuit Team, Kiwi stuntman Chuck Berry, as well as high-octane air racing and an appearance from the RNZAF Red Checkers.
This impressive line-up turns the traditional air show on its head and the NZ International Air Show is much more than
just an exhibition of aviation. Cutting-edge live streaming camera technology and the use of giant screens make
spectators feel like they are in the cockpit experiencing the pilots’ adrenaline rush. Audiences of the NZ International
Air Show get to experience the journey of the aviation acts as they themselves perform them. Technology has never been
used this intensely in an air show anywhere in the world.
The event’s parking arrangements have been designed in close collaboration with Auckland Transport. The public are
advised that there is no public parking at the airfield, in order to keep traffic congestion to a minimum. There are three Park and Ride areas located in
Silverdale and Albany, with free shuttle buses that will connect the parking areas to the Air Show every 15 minutes
(buses will commence from 9.30am).
Visitors coming from the city or beyond are advised to use public transport to connect with our free shuttle buses at
the Albany Park and Ride (Oteha Valley motorway exit) or the Massey University Number 1 Gate (Greville Road motorway
exit). Visitors from the North should head to Metro Park in Silverdale. Disabled parking is available at the Albany Park
and Ride only, but is limited.
The NZ International Air Show has been on the tip of everyone’s tongues and on the screens of everyone’s TV for the last
