Wanted man arrested in connection to Featherston homicide inquiry
Wairarapa Police can confirm that Kristofer JONES, 23, has been arrested by armed Police on State Highway 1 near Hunterville overnight.
Detective Inspector Sean Hansen says "At around 2.00am this morning, armed Police have arrested Kristofer JONES who is now in Police custody.
"He will appear in the Palmerston North District Court this afternoon facing a charge of aggravated burglary".
"Late yesterday, Police located the blue 1989 Mitsubishi Mirage they were seeking in Levin.
"Police continue to appeal for any sightings of Hayden RANSON, 27, who we believe is now travelling alone.
"I would still advise members of the public to not to approach him and to contact Police immediately" says Detective Inspector Hansen.
