Police locate body of missing swimmer
Palmerston North Police have located the body of a 27 year-old Feilding man who went missing while swimming at Himatangi Beach yesterday afternoon.
Police found the body of Jarrett Simeon this morning (6 January 2013) at 5:50am. He was found approximately 100 metres up from the Himatangi Surf Life Saving Club.
Police Search Coordinator Sergeant Andy Brooke said: “I would like to thank everyone that has helped in the search for Jarrett. Police extend their thoughts and condolences to Jarrett’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
The death has now been referred to the coroner.
