Men sought in connection with Tauranga assault
Tauranga police are seeking information about a group of men in relation to an assault which occurred this morning.
At around 3am, a 25 year old male was assaulted by 3 to 5 males as he was walking along the very northern end of the Strand.
As a result he received a deep cut to his mouth requiring stitches and had his wallet and its contents stolen.
The 3 to 5 males were believed to be driving around town earlier in the night in a dark-coloured four door sedan.
Police are investigating and would like to hear from anyone that may have seen this group of males or vehicle before or after the assault.
