Stolen oyster barge
Houhora Police would like to hear from anyone who has seen an oyster barge that was stolen overnight from Te Hapua around the 18th or 19th of August 2012.
There have been unconfirmed sightings that it was being towed, some days later, on a trailer by a 4WD vehicle through the Dome Valley and Warkworth areas.
The barge is 9m x 3m and has a 140hp black Mercury motor. It has the names Facilitator 11 and Coastal Explorer on its side. The blue cover on the barge was not on it when stolen, but the frame was (see attached photo).
If anyone has information on this missing barge they can contact Constable Tracee Knowler at Houhora Police on 09 409 8822 or visit the Houhora Facebook page at www.facebook.com/HouhoraPolice or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
