Information required about assault in Porirua
Porirua Police are investigating an incident which occurred near the intersection of Bedford street and Northumberland street, Cannons Creek, at approximately 10.45pm on Friday 21st December 2012.
A confrontation between two groups has resulted in a 30 year old Porirua man being hospitalised with head injuries.
Enquiries have revealed that a number of men stopped in a vehicle near the intersection and attacked at least one person from a neighbouring house.
It is believed that a weapon was used during the attack.
The vehicle has been described as a dark coloured Nissan Skyline. Police believe the vehicle may have had a window broken during the incident.
Detective Sergeant Dave Jones of the Porirua Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who can help identify the vehicle and its occupants
