Fatal Crash at Race Track
Saturday at about 1230  hrs a group of about 30 motor bike riders were racing at Levels race track near Timaru.
During the first lap a rider near the front of the pack has fallen from his bike and slid across the track.
Following riders scattered to avoid this person.
During this one rider has been unable to avoid the fallen rider and he has been struck. The deceased male is from the Canterbury area and is in his 40s. Family are currently being contacted and no further details are available at this time
