Raetihi unexplained death update #2
Police are continuing their investigation into the unexplained death of a nine year-old Raetihi boy.
The boy was discovered dead by a family member just before 6am yesterday (7 December 2012).
Detective Senior Sergeant Keith Borrell said a post-mortem was completed last night.
"The post-mortem has been completed, however we are still carrying out further tests to determine the cause of death," said Detective Senior Sergeant Borrell.
"Once all the test results are back we will have a clearer picture of how the boy died. We are still making inquiries and have a number of people including family members to speak to."
A scene examination is still in progress.
"If anyone has any information in relation to this incident we encourage you to contact the Police," said Detective Senior Sergeant Borrell.
