Serious crash
A male driver cut from the wreckage has been airlifted to Auckland hospital after a two-car crash on SH1, just past the
gas station at Te Hana, Rodney District.
All seven patients of varying ages from both cars, have been transported to hospital in critical condition.
The crash occurred at about 12.35 pm. Emergency services are still at the scene.
The road is completely blocked. Diversions are in place at Mangawhai Rd (northbound) and Matheson Rd (southbound)
The Police Serious Crash Unit is conducting the crash investigation and any further releases will be made through their
office.
