Forestry Incident leaves one dead.
Tararua Police are investigating an incident today after a forestry worker was killed when a tree fell on him.
The incident occurred at approximately 7.15am in a remote Forestry block south of Pongaroa. The 24 year old male from Whanganui died at the scene.
Investigators from OSH were also called and attended the scene and will conduct their own investigation.
No name will be released at this stage until all NOK have been notified.
