Hamilton fire and man's death not considered suspicious
Hamilton Police investigating the death of a man in a fire in Hamilton this morning do not believe the fire or his death was suspicious.
Detective Sergeant Daryl Smith of the Hamilton CIB said emergency services were called to the scene of the fire at a Maeroa property shortly after 10.00a.m.
"Initial enquiries indicate that the fire and the man's death were not suspicious.
"The man has yet to be formerly identified and his death has been reported to the Coroner."
