Car sightings needed
The offenders responsible for shooting a man at a Hayr Rd, Three Kings address late on Wednesday night are still at large.
The 53 year-old victim suffered serious leg injuries and is still in hospital recovering from surgery.
Detective Sergeant Marcia Murray of Auckland City CIB says his 1996 silver BMW saloon, registration number BZL461, is still missing and Police would like to hear from anyone who's seen it since about 10pm on Wednesday.
"We've been told there were two offenders, possibly Maori or Polynesian in their 20s or 30s, who were obviously prepared to use the firearm they had with them.
"It's possible this incident was gang related and that the victim was deliberately targeted although we are not aware of any connections between Wednesday night's shooting and other incidents involving firearms in the city recently."
Anyone with information is urged to call Auckland City CIB or 111. Anonymous callers can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
